It might be trickier to do that in the parchment lined dutch oven, but definitely not impossible! I love the combination of orange and cranberry too. Do you think adding half orange juice and half water along with some grated orange peel in addition to the cranberries would be okay to try in this recipe?

You can try grating some orange peel into this, but I will stick to just water and no orange juice! I have not tried it but I think orange juice will not work the same way as the water would with the yeast. This bread is amazing!

One of our very favorite breads! So easy and really very hands off, then the house just smells amazing! It smells just as good as it tastes! Your bread recipes are gorgeous and absolutely delicious! I had a lot of fun making this one and will be making it again for Thanksgiving!

Take out of oven and let the cranberry bread cool down in the bread pan for 10 minutes. So pleased with this recipe. Thank you Joy! This was lovely. This came out very nice and was tasty. Hi Joy, This Cranberry Orange Loaf Cake looks wonderfully delicious, and I am anxious to try it right away. However, I need to make it gluten free. Can I sub the all purpose flour with a gluten free flour blend in this recipe?

Will the reverse creaming technique work with gluten free flour? I saw in your chocolate beet cupcake recipe where you mentioned they came out fine using a gf flour substitution and that recipe used the reverse creaming technique. If using gf flour, would I need to adjust amounts of any other ingredients?

We LOVE to hear from people who have enjoyed our recipes! It is not a sandwich-type bread. Cranberry bread is loaf shaped, muffin-like and can be made with fresh cranberries, frozen cranberries or dried cranberries. Other types of quick breads include banana bread , pumpkin bread , strawberry bread , applesauce bread , etc.

You can use frozen cranberries in cranberry bread if you do not have fresh cranberries. Just make sure that you are not adding any extra ice with the frozen cranberries. Otherwise, you will adding too much moisture to the recipe and the cranberry bread could come out undercooked or soggy.

In addition, frozen cranberries should not be used to replace dried cranberries if dried cranberries called for in a cranberry bread recipe because the frozen cranberries might add too much moisture and cause the cranberry bread to be soggy.

You can use dried cranberries to make a delicious cranberry bread. Quick breads that use dried cranberries tend to be a little sweeter because the manufacturers of dried cranberries often add extra sugar to the dried cranberries.

Love this recipe. It was delicious!!! Great recipe for leftover cranberries. Will definitely be making this for the holidays! Have not made yet, want to do for small gifts, can this be made in mini loafs? How many and time , temp. Any info would be appreciated.

Hi Melinda! Temperature can stay the same, just watch them in the oven since they will bake faster. I doubled the recipe today and made one regular loaf and three mini loaves.

The mini loaves baked in approximately 40 minutes. I actually prefer them to the full size because they seemed to bake more evenly in my oven than the full size. This recipe is very reliable.
